During the long period of research resulting in the paper, “Engineering Analysis of Thoroughbred Racing”, one of the well known horse racing publications contacted me to explore the possibility of their publishing CompuTrak’s “Horse Friction” output on a daily basis. For credibility verification, they asked that I submit the CompuTrak program to the “Phillips Racing Newsletter” for testing. 

Phillips rated CompuTrak very highly, 8.5 and showed the results of their testing the program on 153 consecutive races at Santa Anita, using only $2.00 win  bets. They achieved a Return on Investment of 96.99% with a win rate of 36.6%.  The table gives a more complete summary.
